On Step 2: Select Materials we have set the materials that we want to use on the project. As long as the added components use the same materials this step is not necessary.

There are often times when a component will not use the same materials as the project. Here are some situations: the client hesitates about between using aluminum or PVC for the joinery he orders and asks that the windows be done in both ways so he can decide. The client hesitates between white or colored joinery and asks for both versions so he can decide.

To change the material system for a certain component you must do the following: select the component from the Project Explorer, access the material tab and do the changes you want.
