To design a joinery structure we first need to add a component to the project. Actually a component means a window, a door, a panel or a binding system. The name „component” is used because it more general.
A new component to the project can be added in different ways, so that the application is more user friendly.
1. Add Component Menu
Adding a new component can be done by accessing the Project » Add Component menu as seen in the picture below:
2. Toolbar
The easiest way is using the button from the Project toolbar. In the picture below the button is highlighted in a red rectangle:
3. Add Component from Project Menu
It is possible that the structure you wish to design may have already been created for another project. In Ra Workshop you can add a component previously created. For this use Project » Add component from project menu as seen in the picture below:
4. Copy/Paste
It is a quick way to add a component. This feature is used like in other applications (i.e.: word). Select the component and copy it and select the project in which you want to add it and press paste.
5. Context Menu
The project navigator gives the user a way of adding a new component. Right clicking on the project will bring up a context menu from which you can add a new component.
