In most cases a project is calculated based on a profile systems
and based on a certain color. Although in the applications options
the default materials can be set(systems, profile color. etc.) Ra
Workshop allows the setting of the materials at a project level.
Setting a material set at a project level doesn’t influence the
windows and doors from the project. These settings have only a
default parameter value that will be added later.
Choosing the materials implies setting the following
parameters:
- Material type. Material used in the project (PVC,
aluminum and wood).
- Profile System. Profile system that will load as default
for each component.
- Profile Colors. Default color of profiles: laminating
for PVC, RAL color in case of aluminum and the essence for the
wood.
- Glass. Default glass for each component. Depending on
the glass thickness the glazing beads and gaskets will be
calculated.
- Fittings Plan. Establishes the way in which the
application will calculate the component's fittings. This parameter
will be set automatically when choosing a system.
- Labor Plan. Establishes the way in which the application
will calculate the labor work. This parameter will be set
automatically when choosing a system.
Change materials on a project
Often enough there are requests for a project transfer from a
system to another or from a color to another. To do this choose the
new materials and at the end press the button Component
Change. The application will run through all components and
will change the old default materials with the new default
materials.
Recommendation: a transfer like this can make substantial
changes to the project (especially to the materials needed). It is
recommended that after the change every component should be
analyzed to see if all the modification have been made.
