The cutting optimization is a component of the optimization module.
Before running this report the
optimization must be run. This
report is an image of the settings made during the
optimization.

Cutting Optimization Report
For every profile that was introduced in the optimization the
report will show the optimization parameters (settings made when
the profile has been defined in the database: bar length, debit
tolerance, etc.) and the cutting scheme for one or more bars. This
way, for each profile the following parameters are shown:
- Profile Code. The optimized profile code.
- Profile Name. The name of the optimized profile.
- Bar Length. The length of the bar from which the profile
is cut.
- Cutting Tolerance. How much is lost during a cut.
The cutting scheme is next. This contains of a list of segments and
dimensions that need to be cutted. Here is the list of shown
information and what they mean:
- Component – Position. Positioning unique code of a
segment. In the proprieties window it can be found under
„reference”. It is composed of the project code (i.e.: OFR06567),
component code (i.e.: 001) and the segment code( i.e.:
F1:1.R).
- 1º. First cutting angle.
- 2º. Second cutting angle.
- Segment no. Number of segments that need to be cut.
- Segment length. Length of each segment that needs to be
debited.
At the end of the debit pattern of the bar there are some extra
information, some of them having only a statistical aspect others
being extremely important in the debit process:
- The operation will repeat for 1 bar. This message will
tell the user that after it cut a bar by the above pattern, it will
go to the next step, meaning next pattern and next bar. There are
situations like: The operation will repeat for 3 bars. In
this case the above pattern will be applied for 3 bars and then
move to the next step.
- Remain. Displays the remains of the bar, resulted from
applying the pattern, in value and in percent.
Cutting Optimization Report Options
Because this report is closely related with the debit optimization
process, it contains only one setting: the possibility to change
the name of the report. The rest of the options are set before
launching the cutting optimization operation.
