Ra Workshop allows 2 ways of saving a project:

Saving into the database, this being the basic way of saving.
File saving. This was made to allow the offer operator to send the projects in an electronic format to the workshop.

Save Project into the Database
In this case the whole project is saved in the database. If the project has been optimized then it will be saved with the optimized results. Every database backup will contain all the materials as well as all the saved projects.

To save a project in the database use File » Save for new projects or the Save button from the primary toolbar, seen in the picture below, and the File » Save in Database as... menu for the projects that have been open from the file.

Save Project into File
This saving method, similar to a Word or Excel save, was made so users can transfer files to one another. A user from a Show-Room will use this saving method in order to send the projects via email to a workshop.

To save a project as a file you need to use the File » Save in File as... menu and you need to set the name under which the project will be saved.

Important: Butonul Save de pe bara de unelte principale isi schimba comportamentul in functie de modul de deschidere al proiectului. Pentru proiectele noi si pentru cele deschise din baza de date va face salvarea tot in baza de date. Pentru proiectele deschise din fisier va face salvarea in acelasi fisier. Pentru a schimba modul de salvare utilizati meniurile de tipul Salveaza ca....
