This section will help you install the application
Ra Workshop. Before that make sure you read the
System Requirements page.
To start the installation insert the CD in the computer and wait
for the autorun to start. Once started, click on the button
"Ra
Workshop 3.2" " (where 3.2 is the software version). If you
have downloaded the application from the internet then it is very
likely that it will be archived with the Zip utility. To start the
installation you have to unzip the file downloaded and run
Setup.exe.
If Autorun does not start or your internet browser is not able to
interpret the script (which is configured for Internet Explorer) ,
you can manually start the installation running
$CD:\Ra
Workshop\3.2\setup.exe where $CD is your CDROM / DVD your
computer uses.
After starting the software installation follow these steps:
1. Select language setup
Select the language in which you wish to run the installer. The
following language versions are available: Romanian, English, Greek
and Turkish.
2. Welcome Message
The installer displays a welcome message. Click the button "Next"
to move forward.
3. License Agreement
Read the terms of use of the license to know what your obligations
are. You can go ahead only if accept the terms from the user
license agreement (EULA).
4. User Information
Enter information about the user and licensed company. You can also
select whether the application will be available only to the user
logged on the computer at the time of installation or if it will
work for all users who are logged on the computer in question.
5. Select installation directory
The application will be installed by default in C:\Program
Files\Pyramid Software\Ra Workshop 3.2. You can select another
directory to install Ra Workshop in any at your choosing.
6. Setup type
You can install the full application or you can configure the
installation based on certain options. Our recommendation is to
install the full version.
7. Select database
The kit will install by default Microsoft SQL Express server
database which is also the default server in the list of options.
But if you already have installed a Microsoft SQL Express Server,
the kit will give up on installing its own server and a server will
have to be selected manually from the list that appears by clicking
on the button "Browse", or you can type the name server directly in
the textbox "Database server".
You can also select the mode of authentication: the user currently
logged in Windows or an allready existent Microsoft SQL Server
user. If you are not an administrator of the network we recommend
you keep the defaults and go to the next step.
8. More options
Additional options allow better control in case of update. Default
settings are sufficient in most cases.
9. Ready to install
After you do all the settings the software is ready for
installation. Click the "Install" button to begin the actual
installation.
If you have questions about how to install it, do not hesitate to
contact
Technical Support
Department, or post questions on the
Forum.
