Systems are sets of profiles of various types that constitute a
complete solution for the windows/doors type structures.
Profile Systems Menu
The profile systems dialogue is accessed from the Materials »
Profiles » Profile Systems menu as seen from the picture
below:

Profile Systems Dialog
The profile systems dialog allows the following operations: add,
change, delete, copy / paste, print, export. For each facility
access the corresponding button on the toolbar.

Add Profile Systems
Unlike other items placed in the database, a system can not be
perfectly defined by entering information in the grid above. In the
grid you will be able to add only main important information about
profile systems. To introduce a new system the Add button on the
toolbar is used exclusively. This opens a special dialog with the
properties (parameters) of a system:

The parameters below should/may be filled in:
- Code (required, must be unique)
- Name (required)
- Manufacturer. Company name that produces or distributes
that system.
- Type. System types available are: side-hung, sliding,
shutters and insect nets. Depending on this parameter the program
will seek to choose as default profile, certain types of profiles.
(i.e.: for a system of sliding Ra Workshop will propose as default
the sliding frame - if there is such a profile).
- Material. Material type available versions are: PVC,
aluminum and wood. Depending on this parameter the application
changes its behavior to better adapt to the user’s requirements.
(Ie: for a PVC system prices will use the linear meter, in exchange
for an Aluminum system it will use a system for calculating the
price per kg).
- Fiting Plan. Select a fittin plan that will be applied
for this profile system. This fitting plan will contain all
accessories that are dependent by profiles and normally you will
buy these accessories togheter with the profiles.
- Currency. Currency in which prices for the elements that
are part of this system are introduced. For information about the
conversion of currency exchange rate read the Currency Exchange page.
- Sash Tolerance (mm). Represents the distance between the
frame and sash, expressed in millimeters. This value is taken or
are measured from the profile catalog. The default is 12 mm. (i.e.:
a PVC system with a 13mm shaft this value is 12 mm).
- Glass Tolerance (mm). Is the distance with which the
window will be smaller than the gap in which it will be put. This
tolerance is applied on each side of the window. The default value
is 5 mm. That will lead to a balancing space of 10 mm.
- Minimum Gasket Tolerance (mm). The amount of the
smallest combination of gaskets that is used for this system. The
default is 6 mm. This implies that the window will be bordered by 2
gaskets of 3 mm. Depending on this parameter the application will
propose the use of only the glazing beads that can be used in
combination with the window they will be applied on.
- Maximum Gasket Tolerance (mm). The amount of the biggest
combination of gaskets that is used for this system. The default is
8 mm. This implies that the window will be bordered by 2 gaskets: a
3mm one and a 5mm one. Depending on this parameter the application
will propose the use of only the glazing beads that can be used in
combination with the window they will be applied on.
- Threshold Tolerance (mm). The distance between threshold
and sash/bottom rail expressed in mm. The default is 12 mm. The
application will automatically set this value when using a
threshold type profile.
- Tolerance without Threshold (mm). The distance between
the ground (floor) and sash/bottom rail expressed in mm. The
default is 12 mm. The application will automatically set this value
when it produces a structure without threshold.
- Extra Sash Tolerance(mm). In certain situations two
sashes can be added on a frame (a sash on the inside and one on the
outside). An example is the addition of a mobile insect net. The
default is 12 mm. The application will automatically set this value
when it produces a structure with a sash on the outside of the
frame. It is the equivalent of the Sash Tolerance parameter
used above but for the second sash. The parammeter will be set on
the second profile type system (i.e. insect net profile
system).
- Roller Extra Material (mm). In case the system is used
for the roller type structures the application can supplement the
amount of material resulting from the calculation, with a reserve.
The default value is 0 mm. The application will supplement the
amount of material used for the roller with the are calculated on
the basis of this parameter.

OK button.
Change Profile Systems
Select the row with the system you want to modify and edit the
desired fields. An easier option of editing is by using the edit
button on the toolbar. This opens the window above in which the
editing is more intuitive.
To save the information to press the Save button on the
toolbar.
Delete Profile Systems
Select the rows you wish to remove and press the Delete
button. To save the information press the OK button.
Important: a system cannot be removed as long as it
contains profiles. To be able to delete a system you must first
remove all profiles.
