The area type (glass, panels, Screens) can be grouped in categories to allow easier handling. The number of categories is unlimited, and Pyramid Software’s recommendation is to group them depending on usage and/or depending on the provider.

The dialog working with the glass, panels and insect Screens is accessed from Materials » Glass » Categories menu as you can see from the picture below:

The dialog window for glass, panels and insect Screens allows the following operations: add, change, delete, copy / paste, print, export. For each facility access the corresponding button on the toolbar.

Add Glass, Panel, Insect Screens Category
To add a new category click on the first record (where it says: "Click here to enter a new record") and complete the fields in order: Name (required, must be unique), Description (required) and choose a Consumption Category (mandatory) and a Cost Category (mandatory) from the list. To save the information press the Save button on the toolbar.
Consumption category and cost category will become the default settings for all the elements (glass / net / plates) to be placed in this category.

Change Category
Select the row you want to modify and edit the desired fields. To save the information press the Save button on the toolbar.

Delete Category
Select the rows you wish to erase and press the Delete key or the according button from the toolbar. To save the information press the Save button on the toolbar.
