The generic name of glass means all the elements that can cover an area. Here are introduced all the area type elements that do not have a specific category. Exceptions are insect Screens and panels that have specific categories.

Glass Menu
The dialog with glass is accessed through the Materials » Glass » Glass menu as you can see from the picture below:

Glass Dialog
The dialog for glass allows the following operations: add, change, delete, copy/paste, print, export. For each facility access the corresponding button on the toolbar.

Add Glass
To add a new glass click on the first registration (where it says: "Click here to enter a new record") and complete the following fields:

Code. (required, must be unique)
Name. (required)
Category. (required)
Price. The price per square meter.
Currency. Currency price.
Color Code. Select the color used to draw the glass.
Thickness. The thickness of the glass. This switch is used in the calculation of the glazing bead and gasket. When designing a structure the program will only allow the selection of glazing beads corresponding to the thickness of the glass selected.
Generate Consumption. Normaly sellected, witch means that this glass will be added to the consumption.
Cost Category. Extra costs that will apply to the glass when it is used.
Consumption Category. Category where the glass will listed in reports.
Sheet 1. Thickness in mm of glass first sheet.
Sheet 2. Thickness in mm of glass seconf sheet.
Sheet 3. Thickness in mm of glass third sheet.
Spacer 1. The value in mm between sheet 1 and sheet 2.
Spacer 2. The value in mm between sheet 2 and sheet 3.
Gas 1. Check if the space between sheet 1 and sheet 2 is filled with gas.
Gas 2. Check if the space between sheet 2 and sheet 3 is filled with gas.

Sheet 1-3, Spacer 1-2, Gas 1-2 informatio are only stored in the database and there aren't used in the application. They can be exported to a .txt file and that .txt file can be imported to a glass cutting machine.

To save the information press the Save button on the toolbar.

Change Glass
Select the row you want to modify and edit the desired fields. To save the information press the Save button on the toolbar.

Delete Glass
Select the rows you wish to erase and press the Delete key or the according button from the toolbar. To save the information press the Save button on the toolbar.
