Once modifications to the database have been made, they can be sent
to other working stations through an export of data. Ra Workshop
can export any information form the data base into a file with a
.rad format, which can later on be imported in any other database
using
Import data feature.
Export Menu
The dialog working with data exports can be found through the
Materials » Tools » Export menu as seen in the picture
below:

Select Export Data
Selecting the export menu will pop-up the dialog window below. Here
you can select the information you want to export.

Export Options
Each tab contains a list of information from the database that can
be exported. In addition, starting from the export phase, we can
tell the application how to behave when it will import the file.
Each tab also contains an import list. Depending on the selected
tab the import options differ. These options can be changed when
importing.
- Add new data. New data will be added to the existing
database. (Ex: importing a new system)
- Update existing data. Imports will change the data that
are already in the database based on the information of the
exported file. (Ex: Updating property - code, name, etc. - Profiles
and accessories).
- Delete unimported data. Selecting this option will have
the effect of erasing all the data that exists in the database, but
doesn’t exist in the export file.
- Update prices. Specify if the application will update
the materials prices or it will keep the existing ones.
- Update profile’s geometry. Selecting this option will
lead to upgrading the geometric parameters of profiles, windows,
accessories and hardware, based on data from the export file.
(i.e.: if you find a mistake in the definition of a profile this
option will allow us to do a export file will correct the error
once it is imported.)
