For an exact computation of a joinery structure, beside material
costs, should be calculate also some additional costs that a
company has: leasings, factory expenses (electricity, rent, etc.),
employees expenses (salaries, taxes), tehnological manufacturing
losses, etc. All these costs may be entered to Ra Workshop
application as Extra Costs.

The extra costs dialogue is accessed through Materials » Extra
Costs menu as seen from the picture below:

Extra Costs Dialog
Extra Costs dialog allows the following operations: add, change,
delete, copy / paste, print, export. For each facility access the
corresponding button on the toolbar.
Extra costs can belong to one of the following types:
- Materials. Extra costs will be aplied only on materials:
quantities and prices to obtain a base price called Sell Value
(Sv).
- Project. Extra costs will be applied on project for
client price offer.
- Component. Extra costs will be applied on component for
client price offer.
- Delear. Extra cost will be applied to calculate dealer
offer.
Each extra costs has one ore more costs attached to it that will be
applied in cost computation process. Costs can belong to one of the
following types:
- Quantity Loss. Is available only for material extra cost
type and will be applied to quantity.
- Production. Is available only for material extra cost
type and will be applied to material value. Together with Quantity
Loss cost type will compute Production Cost (PC) based on materials
quantites and prices.
- Addition.
- Installation. Also an addition extra costa that will be
applied separately.
- Transport. Also an addition extra costa that will be
applied separately.
- Discount. Discount extra cost that will be aplied in the
end.
The following formulas and parammeters are used to compute a jonery
structure final price:
- Net Quantity (Nq)
- Sum of all quatities computed by our application for all
project's components. (i.e. how much profile is needed for designed
components). The value doesn't contains any losses.
- Gross Quantity (Gq)
- Gross quantity needed for completed the project. Contains all
technological process losses.
- Gq = Nq + Nq*EC_QL, where EC_QL are all extra costs of quantity
loss type.
- Unit Production Price (Pp)
- Price per measure (i.e. profile's price).
- Materials costs (Mc)
- Sum of all meterials used for a component or project.
- Mc = Nq * Pp
- Production Cost (Pc)
- Project's production cost: materials cost plus quantity losses
and production costs.
- Pc = Mc + Mc*EC_P, where EC_P are extra costs of production
type.
- Sell Value (Sv)
- Project's sales price: cost of material in final offer (i.e.
effective amount that a client should pay for profiles).
- SV_ND = Pc + Mc*(EC_P + EC_A), SV_ND is the value of final
offer with no discount and EC_A are extra costs of addition
type.
- Sv = SV_ND - SV_ND*EC_D, EC_D are extra costs of discount type
(discount is applied in the end of price computation process).
