There are cases when you need to optimize an fitting or accessory
(i.e. rod for aluminiun). For these fittings or accessories you
must set some options that help Ra Workshop application use it on
Profile Cutting
Optimization. This option are the same with the one set in
Profile Optimization
dialog.
General Settings
Geometric settings describe how this fitting or accessory is use in
optimization process. These settings are default setting and can be
changed latter in the Profile Cutting
Optimization form.
- Optimize. Check this setting if you what this fitting or
accessory or to be optimized. In almost all cases for fittings and
accessories this will be unchecked.
- Bar length. The length of the bar out of which the
fitting or accessory expressed in millimeters is cut out.
- Cutting tolerance (mm). How much is consumed or how much
is lost during cutting (when the cutter passes through the fitting
or accessory).
- Use double cut. Use this option if you have a double
cutting machine. This optine is better for optimizing manufacturing
(cutting) time but will decrease optimization result.
- Container size. If a container it is used in
manufacturing processes, you may set here the size of the bin
(number of bin's cells).
Stock Settings
For companies that use an stocks for rests results from
optimization processes the stock for optimization process and stoc
remainders you should fill the parameters below:
- Stock Usage Mode. Depending if you are using stock
remainders or different bar lengths you should select:
- Optimization without stock. Optimization that won't
store and use remainders.
- Only stock standard length optimization. Optimization
that will work only with standard lenght bars.
- Only stock remainders optimization. Optimization that
will work only with remainders found in stock.
- Stock optimization. Optimization that will use both
standard bar lenght and remainders.
- Fair Loss Limit. This is the miminum fitting or
accessory length that is considered in the optimization process.
Less that this limit means 0.
- Maximum Loss Limit. This is the limit of the smallest
fitting or accessory length that can be stored in the inventory
system.
- Optimum Loss Limit. Ra Workshop application will try to
add to stock rests that have the length arround this value.
- Optimum Stock. Optimization process works better if you
have rests of fittings and accessories in stock. That why the
application will try to add to stock the numer of pices entered in
'Optimum Stock' text box.
- Maximum Stock. Maximum number of pices that can be
stored in stock for this fitting or accessory.
